Adriana Sánchez Morán

21/02/2013

Degree in Geology in 2007 and Geological Engineer in 2012 in the University of Oviedo. She was awarded with the final year prize and special distinction. She has 6 years of experience in geology and hydrogeology.

From 2011 to 2012, she carried out her Final Year Project for the title of Geological Engineer in the Hydro-Geophysics and NDT Modelling Unit, titled:

“Numerical modelling with Finite Element Method of the extraction of a fluid from a coal bed and its related gravimetric anomaly using COMSOL Multiphysics”.

In this research work the groundwater flow equation is coupled with the Poisson’s equation of gravimetric potential, allowing a geophysical control of the pressure induced variations. The work was presented in the  7ª Asamblea Hispano-Portuguesa de Geodesia y Geofísica celebrated in San Sebastian in 2012.

She lives now in Santiago (Chile) where she works as Hydrogeologist for Amphos 21.
