Hydro-geophysics and NDT Modelling Unit is a research group formed by professors, researchers, students and different partners, actively working on methodological developments and practical applications related to three main topics: Hydrogeology, Geophysics and NDT.
Our projects grow up around particular real problems. But they explicitly pursuit the acquisition and consolidation of fundamental (in the sense of basic) knowledge and the improvement of technical as well as scientific capabilities leading to appropriate solutions.
The process usually starts with a systematic exchange of ideas (sometimes under the form of brainstorming) that actively contributes to cast the definition of the problem in a solvable formulation. It follows with the acquisition and set up of a balanced mixture of the required fundamental knowledge and the experimental methods or logistical needs of the problem at hand. The deliverables should be significant improvements in terms of technology transfer.
